Forest Ownership:
As a family business and large forest landowner, Dwight Lewis Lumber Company is committed to the long-term productivity of our forest. We seek to develop and maintain a sustainable forestry business that will continue through future generations of our family. In addition, our family has a strong commitment to stewardship and works to care for out land and forest resources now and into the future. Reflecting that commitment, several family members are active members of the Northcentral Pennsylvania Conservancy. In addition, to keep these resources available to the community, we lease a large percentage of our properties to hunters, and cooperate with local clubs and organizations for hiking, cross country skiing, bird watching, and other non-hunting recreation. We also have over 3,000 acres open to the public for minimal disturbance recreation.

Timber and/or Log Purchasing:
Dwight Lewis Lumber Company purchases logs and timber in northcentral and northeast Pennsylvania. We purchase timber on areas greater than 20 acres and diameters must be greater than 12” at 4 ½ feet off the ground. Every forest is different, so it is always worth contacting us regardless the size of your forest. We provide fair market prices and ensure timber harvesting is performed to the highest standards.

Forest Management:

Our foresters have educations in forest management from reputable colleges and universities, including Pennsylvania College of Technology, West Virginia University, and Penn State University. We use proven forest ecosystem management science when managing forestland to meet your long-term desired objective.
